Indian Lentil Dahl

Here is a recipe that I found for Lentil Dahl. I tweaked it a lil bit.

1 chopped onion
1 cloves garlic chopped
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1    teaspoon ground cumin
1   cup dried lentils
2   cups water or veggie stock
1/2 teaspoon salt

1. Saute onion and garlic
2. When soft, add spices
3. Add lentils and water/veggie stock and bring to a boil for 2 minutes.
4. Cover
5. Turn down to low heat and simmer for 45-60 minutes
4. Add salt after 25 minutes
